A recovery plan for agriculture and horticulture is now being launched in the province of West Flanders (Belgium).
A number of concrete actions have been put in place:
Support and inspire municipal services and farms to develop shared initiatives. The agricultural research centre Inagro vzw has published a small inspiration guide.
In collaboration with a farmer organisation, the centre is planning to produce instructional videos to train quickly seasonal workers (e.g. picking strawberries or mushrooms). They also aim to support and facilitate farmers who want to bring their story to a wide audience via social media, podcasts and articles.
